Thursday Thoughts…

As I’ve already mentioned previously, I lost the use of my free AI generator unless I bought a subscription for the program.

Since that time I’ve been sort of floundering a bit, as far as, how I’m going to be able to retain the visual identities of my differing comrade’s-in-arms, not to mention the ones I use for myself, and my miniature me version. I know that it might sound silly, but I’ve come to love the look and style of all the characters created here in the lobby, out at the barnyard, as well as my mini-me’s kitchen, and both of the new puppies. Perhaps, I’m making a mountain out of a mole hill here, but to me, it’s the little touches that really count!

Anyways, I went back and forth and back and forth on it, prayed about it, argued with myself some more, and finally just asked my husband if he would decide for me.

Here’s the thing, I’m a writer not an artist, nor am I computer savvy AT ALL, without my husbands capable hands on my computer whenever there’s an issue. He knows all that stuff… that’s why I hired him, I mean married him. I tease, but he really does have a brilliant mind, and he is also really good with numbers and/or money, so success comes from deferring to the expert! (The bonus here is that my expert has a major crush on me, so all I really have to do is bat my eyes. You would be proud of me for not abusing this weakness of his, in regards to this important decision. I remained objective and sincere about my frustrations over the AI issue, and asked what he thought. God Bless my husband for his no fuss, no muss, non-overthinking, logical… and madly in love with me, can-do attitude!

In all of about fifteen minutes, my man was able to step in and save my bacon… well, my Brutus, Eustace, Tilly, Squagon, Dinky Do, Boomer, Lilly, Auzzie Clawzy, and all that are still yet to come!

So, I am now the proud new user of an AI Generator platform called OpenArt AI. It is a whole new program for me to learn, as I’ve always just used the easy peezy free programs without bells and whistles, so to speak. So, if you would bear with me for a bit, as you start seeing my beginner attempts.

It may take some trial and error, but in the end I think this was a positive move towards the future of Journey With Me, not to mention a new horizon for Barnyard Business (they help you create videos with your creations). If Tilly and all the rest of the babes are to have any chance at truly coming to life in the eyes of a child, this new platform might just be the answer!

Tell me what you think about today’s image of my persona, if you would. This new program is allowing me to really fine tune her features and expressions. I’ve never had the choice before, nor was the woman ever really the same one. I always struggled to find images that were similar enough to use, since reusing any image for other projects required subscriptions for those features.

Before you go, I’ve left you with two additional images to critique. Seriously, it really will help me in the fine tune department.

***Just in case you thought that this last photo was a duplicate of the one at the top of the article, look at her mouth. This image was actually the first picture of my Avatar that was generated. The first of these three pictures, happens to be my first attempt at changing her expression… and of course, I wanted to see her smile more!

Leave any thoughts, ideas, and/or suggestions in the comments, if you could. Hugs!

It all starts with butter…

Daily writing prompt
List five things you do for fun.

There’s nothing like a fresh hot bun, straight out of the oven and smothered in real butter… not the cheap stuff, either!

Anyone who loves eating fresh bread knows that after butter, comes a really, really good fruit preserve like strawberry, raspberry or even like an apple/pear marmalade. Once upon a time, I found a recipe for it on Pinterest, I think, and it was amazing!

Another of my go-to’s for a yummy bun is to tear it open and lay in some really good honey! Now, I’m not talking about the regular store bought honey that’s been processed so much that all you get is the sticky sugar taste… no, no! Get in your car and drive to your local bee farm, where you can pick out your favorite flavor. Trust me, if it’s not fresh honey… don’t waste your time! Unless you want either diabetes or a grueling everyday workout to burn off all the wasted sugar you just ate, get the healthy honey… just sayin.

If you aren’t a sweet flavor fan… try a dab of cream cheese and a slice of ham. This is a sure fire way to make your mouth water, I think. During the holidays, you just switch out the cream cheese for stuffing and/or cranberry sauce… I betcha you’re onboard with me now, right?!

Here is the last, but certainly not the least, of my list of 5 things to do with a bun…

Drum Roll, Please….

Are you ready for this?

……..

Wait for it…

Yup! I’m pretty sure you’re familiar with this one. I don’t know about you, but I can never get tired of a good ole fashioned Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato bun? Am I right?

Help yourself, but if this didn’t hit the spot for you, I left you some cookies, too…

Wednesday Words…

I am in need of a crew! Will anyone join me in my search for Eustace, our most beloved camel? When I awoke this morning, he was gone! I looked all over the house for him, only to discover some old photos of when he was a baby, left on my computer screen… that’s it!

Not even a note, or any sort of clue that might lead me to his whereabouts!

However, my search of the local area was rewarded! I found a boat down at the river, fully supplied and ready to sail… hmmmm. I haven’t a clue who put it there, but I’m fairly certain it’s been left for our use. If not, somebody was quite careless in leaving their vessel unguarded, there beside the water’s edge… I am a pirate, you know!

Well, I’m not one to back down from a challenge/adventure just because I don’t know for sure where we’re headed… you know me better than that! I think we all know where this is heading, right?

I wont stop until I recover our Eustace! I’ll search through every AI land there is until I find him. What if I lose the babe’s or even Brutus, for that matter? Finding our funny camel is incredibly important, because Wednesdays won’t be the same without him. Maybe, if I’m successful in recovering Eustace somehow, there is still hope for the barnyard, Acorn Valley, not to mention the new puppies! It occurred to me that both Bailey and Gabriel are also in danger of disappearing from the lobby.

I don’t know how long it will take, or even where the river will take us… but we owe this to Eustace, I think. Let us not waste any more time talking, when there’s a river calling out to us.

To any faithful crewmen coming aboard, I found some fitting nautical call outs on the internet, generally used for a successful departure and journey…

Fair winds and following seas

When a ship leaves port, a common phrase called out to the crew is “”Fair winds and following seas“”, which is essentially a nautical blessing for a safe and smooth journey with favorable wind conditions.

Clear the deck

Prepare for departure by removing any obstacles.

Heave Ho and Cast off

A command to pull on ropes with force, and then release the lines securing the ship to the dock.

Underway

Indicates the ship is now moving.

Now then, everyone should feel like an actual crew mate. If you’re not clear on your particular ship duty, I would suggest you look it up on google before we get too far away and lose cell service, or worse, your phone runs out of battery power… our ship has no charging outlets!

***Disclaimer*** Since I wasn’t the one who built, or even equipped this vessel, I shall not be held responsible for any lost items, stolen munchies or unchargeable cellular devices.

Welcome Aboard, Mates!

Reading is fundamental…

Daily writing prompt
If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?

Can you imagine how fun it would be if we could read to our furry friends… and they could actually understand the words?

We could leave house rules on the fridge, thereby, leaving no valid excuses for peeing on the floor.

No more separation anxiety, my friends, not with smart phones and video calls and texts… just get them a floor sized tablet!

***Warning*** If you’re going to let them have internet access, parental controls are a must if you don’t want to end up with a years worth of biscuits and frisbees! And watch out for those furry chatroom channels… they’ll end up letting anyone in the house!

I wonder though, would they still ignore rules, guidelines, and warning labels like some humans? Well, let’s just adjust my answer to reflect that they would be capable of understanding basic words that are written down… they are animals, after all.

Toes in the sand…

You know that refreshing sensation one gets while dipping their toes into the sand, just at the water’s edge?

If you asked me what it feels like to walk with God on a daily basis, well…

Toes in the sand, my friends, toes in the sand!

The power of water…

Daily writing prompt
Write about your first name: its meaning, significance, etymology, etc.

By Google’s current definition, the word Wiwohka either means roaring water, a Native American tribe up near the Great Lakes, or my least favorite… a group of derelict misfits that banded together to make a settlement town of some sort, or other.

I liked it much better back in the day, when I first chose this nickname, if you will. When I originally found this name more than twenty years ago, it was on a Native American name generator site, and simply read as “Rushing, roaring, or raging water”. No idea where this new village of miscreants definition came from, nor do I find it very appealing. In answer to the prompt this morning, I’ll be sticking with my original definition, since it’s far less nefarious than the most recent description.

While the name written on my birth certificate carries absolutely nothing, as far as, meaning, significance, nor etymology… Wiwohka does! Though the word’s etymology doesn’t concern me, the significance and meaning are threaded throughout the tapestry of my existence!

Throughout my life, the name Wiwohka has been the truest explanation of who I am… who I’ve always been. My very birth came during a storm, of sorts. I spent much of my childhood in back alleys, strangers beds, and often times… out in the rain, drenched to the skin. Up from those dark and troubled waters arose a very angry, volatile, and fiercely independent young woman.

What’s rather interesting about the meaning of my name is that it’s definition has taken on a completely different meaning, though the words have not been altered. I originally chose it because it made me feel strong and self-reliant, and flowing by my own power. Looking back now, I realize how powerless I actually really was!

The truth about water is that it is, in fact, very powerful… but, how? Water, in and of itself, just sits there unless something moves it! Water gets it’s power from whatever source it originates from, as well as how its path has been directed. The strength, force and sometimes destructive power of water will be based on who or what is directing the water’s flow.

When I finally came to realize where the water within my spirit had originated, its like all the places within my heart and mind that had been mistaken in thinking that I controlled the flow of said water, simply washed away with the tide. Do you know how difficult and exhausting it is, always having to push a thing along with your own effort? Isn’t it always more pleasant to get a ride, instead of doing all the pushing by your own strength? I guess that somewhere along the journey I realized this, and I’m so glad that I did!

Now, I flow with a power and strength not born of my own ability, but of the One who is my source of power… my living water!

Puppy Sorter…

Daily writing prompt
What’s your dream job?

I’m just sayin, if there were ever a giant puppy factory… I want the job of puppy sorter!

I would love to spend my entire day, simply playing with puppies to determine what homes they should go to. All those chubby little things with their adorable puppy breathe… talk about fun! I wouldn’t even require much monetary compensation (though I do expect fair wages), and the overtime wouldn’t even be an issue. Actually, it would be a great deal of fun to bring my work home with me! Though, I’ll admit that I might mistakenly keep a few stashed under my bed when I return to work the next day. One of the hazards of the job, I suppose…

Don’t forget your cookie…

I picked them out just for you!

The Crier…

They cry in the happy times and cry for the sad

they wail like a baby whenever they’re mad…

They cry during weddings, baptisms, and any royal coronation

Every event they attend must have a tissue station…

No movie theatre is safe, nor any concert venue

If they’ve had a bad day, they’ll even cry over their menu…

Some think it endearing while others get irritated

Whenever they start weeping, the whole room gets irrigated…

Keep in mind, the next time that you see someone crying

over a movie or a gift, a sad story or bad rhyming,

be thankful that empathy still exists in this world,

for it’s the soil where the seeds of love can unfurl!

A healthy seed…

Daily writing prompt
What makes a good leader?

I believe that once you select a healthy seed, all your Cedar needs to grow big and tall is some good dirt, lots of rain, and of course, some sunshine!

Now that would make a good Cedar, don’t you think?

Here, take a taste and see…

… the bark tastes like chocolate!
