My husband suggested I start calling myself Wiwohka The Woodsy Wordpecker… and I like it… a lot!
Since Wednesday is being used for wordy things, I felt it a perfect fit, so I’ll be using that label, starting next week. If nothing else, it’ll be funny!
Today, I shall be pecking at you with some woodsy words of wisdom:
Yes, when a tree falls in the forest, it does in fact make noise! If a bear is pooping in the woods and you can hear it, you are way too close to the bear… you’re welcome!
In Native American belief. The woodpecker is the protector of women and children. They will come near to warn us. I became the Coyote, years ago. When I was in the army. I went to death valley many times and I drove a water truck. Every morning, the California desert coyotes would wait for me. I would send them water and the soldiers call me Sgt. Coyote. I kept the name.

We earn our nickname my dear friend. I do love the woodpeckers. Here in Michigan. I haven’t seen any. Ever.

I would not want to be that close to either a falling tree or a pooping bear. Just saying.

I could have gone further with that joke, but probably would have offended a good handful of folks… lol…

There was something louder than the tree falling. It was my screams as I was running from the bear!!! Oh, and to help others out stay safe and alive I’ll add a myth buster: Playing dead to stop a bear from attacking you, will only make it easier for the bear.
