Note To Self…
When it comes to encouraging words, the Psalms never seem to fail us, do they? I thought that this particular verse pretty much explains itself, but I’ll go a little further to say that I’ve risen and settled in many different places throughout my life and God has always been faithful!
Just the other day I was sitting in the dark, during our power outage, looking back over the years of my life. In all my adult years I have never been without some form of food and shelter… for myself, I learned that the idea of being homeless was a state of mind!
Yes, we were without a home… no, there was not a single night that we slept fully on a cold hard ground in the great outdoors. There was always an available couch offered, or the shelter of a car to hold off rain and wind.
Through all these months of lessening vision, growing isolation and complete reliance on another for my well being … I was never alone… ever!
Without the blessed assurance of being held in the palm of Gods very hand through all that… well… I shudder to think!
Note To Self #16
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, and settle on the far side of the sea,
even there,
your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast.
Psalm 139:9,10
Amen!
P.S. I am sorry for any typos … using one eye for this.
Amen, sister. This is one of my favorite Psalms, and I often refer to it for various reasons. It’s a good one for fear. God hasn’t abandoned us when we go through troubles; He is very near to us, and if we keep our eyes on Him, then we will not fail to receive His peace and provision. He is a good father.

God is the Great Provider…Jehovah Jireh! Psalm 139 is one of my favorites. It’s so comforting to know that God knows us so intimately, yet loves us anyway.

Amen! I know He continues to hold you and yours even in the ‘dark seasons’.
