I find it amazing that even to this day, leopards have spots… they are born with them, just like they were in history long ago… spots are still there… fascinating!

While I am sure there are a great many fascinating things in our worlds history, there are a good number of fascinating things in our current history…
One of which is the fact that WordPress still seems unable to correct the issue of the prompt question disappearing.

Two of which is the fact that we just had a question that asked if what historical events we remembered. I noticed a very somber atmosphere the entire day out on the feed. We are all pretty friggin miserable with the way of things in our world right now… forget about rehashing historical blunders and kerfuffles, and not too many seemed overly eager to dive in and answer that prompt.
The word Fascinating can be interpreted loosely in the heart of a man… it just depends upon which man is looking at the history!
Thirdly, I find it rather sobering that even today, we really don’t change… not really. Maybe on the surface we act as if we have risen above our own ignorance of mind or heart… but inside, it is easy to hide things that linger… like hatred, jealousy, deceit, malice. Similar to a leopard, I think we will always keep our spots… they just blend in neatly beneath our fur!
WordPress could do better for us all perhaps, if they posed the prompt question as, “What historical events did we as humanity learn from and change for the better”? Maybe lead with that next time…
Here, have a cookie shaped like a Blueberry Muffin…

All great points, but I had to laugh out loud when you mentioned the Daily Prompt glitch! 🙂 That annoys me every single day now. UGH!

I have my Jurassic Park Theory about WP. The system is so complex that they do not understand it all, and random shit just happens, and the Happiness Engineers are really the shit happens engineers.

Totally agree, I ask them questions and I get a bunch of FAQs that I have already studied. End up finding a not-so-hot awkward solution. My blog is cobbled together in the style of a kids’ clubhouse

WP is acting strangle when it comes to “likes” showing up too. There are posts I’ve liked where the like disappears leaving me to scratch my head, “I’m sure I hit like before.” Good post.

I have had trouble with that as well as massive comments going into the spam folder … somebody is slacking

I’ve seen likes disappear (the blue star turns blank) but when I go to the blog, the like is still there. It’s weird.

I’m 90% sure that the daily prompt is AI generated.

The prompt glitch seems to be happening more on my PC than on my mobile. I have also had prompts disappear from older posts. It also seems like some prompts ad thumbnails at random to my posts. Not on WordPress. When the link is shared on another platform there will be some strange(to me) person in that thumbnail.
It’s probably telemarketers.

I’m having different issues. There’s a ten second lag or longer before the cursor makes up it’s mind to go to the next line.
I don’t have all day to write a 100 word blog. And what’s the point of a prompter if I can’t write free style.
It’s not my internet connection either because i face no issues when posting on medium or toxic Quora.
Best part is there really isn’t anyone I can complain to do I end up doing so on other people’s blogs in the hope the creators might notice and get it rectified.
Might have to shift back to blogger permanently though the interface is old school.

I am practicing patience, which I am not the best at, to hope that they will get it straightened out soon… the problem is widespread enough that I am confident that they are aware… I am certain it had something to do with the last Jetpak update

If I were to write a book on jet pack I’d be dead at chapter ten. Thereafter my 20 year old bereaved daughter would have to complete the rest and post the prelogue at my obituary. 😢
It is that bad. I’m thinking they must have just two employees at their company doing day and night shifts.
Imagine if they were writing a software. It would take years!

it is surprising that we have not even gotten any update from WordPress stating that they are addressing things…

The Jetpack app and old WordPress app still have different prompts. The old WordPress app has not automatically added the prompt since I was last playing with it. However, I did learn that the prompt is a block that can be inserted by clicking the [+] plus square on a block. I have done it on my phone then saved draft at swapped to Jetpack. In Jetpack it says unsupported but that just visually in Jetpack as a draft. It’s just a hell of a lot easier and faster to use Jetpack.

I must confess that I sent WordPress a support ticket with an example of what they should say to all of the peeps out here, but I am sure it only brought a laugh to the tech team… eventually they will figure things out… lol

Did you save a copy? Hahaha. I sent some seriously psychotic messages to, well that’s not important. I didn’t believe they would be read and were more for me. When I get replies, I don’t understand why someone would think I need professional help. Then I read what I said, and agree with them.

It’s such a great feeling to meet like minded individuals. It’s a lot of work to drive them mad so they get it. It is sometimes the only way and exhausting.
