Genie, this is your lucky day!

I have a toilet needs fixing, a car that won’t run, and currently no heat… so I am feeling pretty practical at the moment.

I am being fully serious, as a matter of fact, because I have a hard time dealing with an imaginary friend, when my toilet isn’t working well… this is not the Four Seasons we’re running here, it’s an RV!

Besides, there really isn’t anything that a Genie can do to really fix anything. Haven’t we all seen enough movies about these guys to know that it always ends up messy. What we thought we wanted didn’t end up with the ending we had first imagined.

You know I will end up talking about Jesus here… this IS me we are talking about. I will just say that He is the only one I have ever had the opportunity to read or hear about that did wondrous things… water into wine, feeding the five thousand, healing the sick, and bringing the dead back to life… it is hard for me to take anyone else serious in the magic department.

I am now preparing to get up and do the Blanket Burrito Shuffle over to my very magic bean processor and enjoy some very magic coffee, so I will share some… along with some warm accoutrements for us all to enjoy on this brisk Tuesday Mornin…

Yes I have an imaginary Houseman that pours me coffee every morning… aren’t you jealous?

  1. Same, no heat, Indoor plumbing messed up, it can thankfully be used to remove waste and water but not to bring anything in, the toilet and kitchen sink both would cause a flood in here if I tried to hook up.
I just finished cleaning 2 days worth of dishes (because I was sick yesterday) in tears because I started getting hives from the cold 2 years ago, so my feet and hands are covered in welts, my shirt is soaked, I’m using my last clean rag because my little portable washing machine broke at our last destination and I don’t have money for another week so I can’t use the laundry until then and I’m so tired. When I saw that genie question I was so tempted to say “HOUSE!”, but I’ve been seeing people lately who have lost it all in an instant. It doesn’t matter what I want, I obviously am learning lessons in this hard season that seems to be taking forever to end. Why? Idk, we’ve both been poor and through stuff in the past, this is nothing new… but it must be cultivating something big… faith I’m assuming. It’s tiring though, embarrassing, and at times makes you want to give up, but we and everyone else in a similar situation will make it through.
I just wanted you to know you aren’t alone because I read your post after changing out of my wet shirt and saw that I wasn’t alone. ❤️

    1. Oh just to clarify my shirt was wet from my garden hose that I have to snake into the rv to do the dishes not from my tears, I wasn’t crying that much 🤣

    2. my guess is that God wants me to have a very strong countenance for times ahead, and I need to not get my panties in a bunch over things like these, even though I too find myself sometimes crying through whatever I have to get through… you lean on my sis, and I will lean on you… hugs

  2. Didnt realize you was in an rv as well, we are in ine i built but has no grid to it other than a 30 amp cord for heat/ac when we need it and a light, fan and our phone chargers. We haul water as we need it and the toilet is a chem toilet that i dump weekly, so I know what you mean. Is it a propane or diesel heat system? Theres a few work arounds and not sure where youre located but can give ya some ideas if needed.

    1. my hubby was right in the middle of gutting the rv floor to replace it, and disconnected our diesel feed. It was just a case of bad timing for things… hopefully we will have our new heater arriving and can get it installed now that the floors are done… my poor husband had to do all the floors in 30 degree weather, but he did it… he is a rock star in my book… hehehehehe

      1. I keep ours in storage, the first one we had died the second year. I think it was i got some bad propane cause that and the stove acted wierd. We use a filter now, well worth the $12 vs $169. But im realy thinking about building one that heats a pipe via old cooking oil or other means
