I am wiping the dust off my feet… do you hear that summer heat… and I am kicking you to the curb!

I know it is still hot outside and we’re not there yet… but I do not care! As a walker of trails, and also a lover of nature, this heat has been preventing me from fully enjoying either.

This is the Northwest for crying out loud! One of the things I have always loved about this region, is the areas mild weather and wonderful breezes, blowing in off the Puget Sound.

It seems like over the last few years, the summers have gone rogue here… long stretches of sweltering heat, humidity that is much higher than I like, and next to no breezes to bring cooling air.

So… if I have to exist next to an air conditioner to survive, I am going to fake it until I make it… from here on out folks, fall has begun!

Find my happy place… Find my happy place…
I turned off my air conditioner yesterday and it was glorious. I hate forced air. I’m keeping it off today for as long as I can. So long as it’s under 90 F outside, I’mma keep it off. What I’m saying is. I hear ya.

I really cannot wait for fall. Our house is like a tin can that just sucks in the heat so we have forced air out the wazoo just to try and keep up.

I hear ya… RV here… and an older one, so it has more air holes than a sinking tire… hehe

The Midwest is gorgeous. So much nature and open space. Yes Autumn will soon be here so let’s enjoy the last few weeks of summer. It went by so fast☺️

The heat has been somewhat ‘unnatural’ this summer for sure. We haven’t seen a number below 90 since late June.

I feel you! I’m from Texas, so it won’t feel like fall for a while, but I’m hoping the heat lets up a little soon!🥵

Haha, sounds familiar. Every time I get in the car, it’s like an oven. I’m just sooooo thankful for ac!😆
