It just so happens that I spent all day yesterday playing an online game… but that’s not actually the last fun thing I did for fun or play. The funny thing is though, whenever I play a game for numerous consecutive hours in a single day, I’m guaranteed some crazy dreamtime.
So…. the last thing I did for play or fun ended up being the dream I had last night.

All night long I dreamt of either hunting in the forest, or working on the plans for my inn/cottage. Hopefully, we’re about to begin the build today, in-game.
I want it to have the kitchen out behind the inn, so there won’t be any grease fires to cause a catastrophe. It’s right on the edge of the wood, resting beside a river that’s not too far from our clan.

I want the lobby, dining room and hearth on the main floor, obviously, but there will be spacious rooms to rent on the upper floors. There will be a covered outdoor deck that extends about ten feet over the river. This way, we can build some of the guest rooms out over the water.

Hey… the prompt asked! I am just acquiescing to their request, which required giving you some information, making it worth your while to read my response.
Before you start thinking that I’m just goofing off and ignoring my holiday duties, fear not! I’ve already finished preparing your gifts, err… coal… ya, coal for your stockings.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot… I dreamt of cookies, too…

Todays honored guest and recipient of my praises would be none other than my hubby, my partner in crime, and my favoritist person!

We’ve been married for nearly 19 years and he still impresses me, and on a regular basis at that!

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I know my life looks nothing like I thought it might!

Turns out, there’s a lot more to sailing this ship than I’d realized…

No one wants to arrive at their destinations with a messy ride. I’m trying to focus on tidying up along the way… and be pleasantly surprised when I reach wherever I’m supposed to be going!
Here, have a cookie…

Ya ya ya… I know… I have puppy on the brain after this last weekend! You’re gonna have to put up with this for a few days, I fear. Sorry, not sorry…
The dog images should hopefully leave the impression with you, of thinking before you act on a thing.
I was watching an episode of Joyce Meyers the other day, and something she said stuck with me, regarding God’s guidance. There are times when we are about to say something, we might hear God whisper, “you don’t need to say that”, and when Joyce went on to talk about whether we listen to him or not, I felt like she was looking right at me through the television screen!
I’ve been studying a great deal about wisdom and thinking before I say things, lately. This chatty wordsmith has a tendency to say too much, or talk at the wrong time, so I’m a work in progress. I hope this satisfies the prompt.

Whenever I see questions like this one, my mind always wanders back to my childhood. There are few pleasant memories of my early days, but somehow a small bubble of warm memories with my mom survived.
I’ve one where she took me to get my ears pierced for the first time… I felt so grown up!

All the rest of my positive memories mainly revolve around the kitchen, which you may have noticed in any of my writings about my mother.
Whichever way you wish to look at it, that kitchen is where my love of baking was born! The day my mother gave me an Easy-Bake Oven created a monster, if you will… a cookie one, that is!

I was propped up on a stool, precariously balanced on an old Yellow Pages phone book… and handed a large bowl of Chocolate Chip cookie dough, to be exact!

I sat there for the entire day, meticulously baking my cookies one at a time, until I’d emptied the entire mixing bowl!
I’ve never lost that love of baking, and cookies are still my favorite thing to make, to this day!

Have one…

Hands down, my favorite physical activity is walking! Whether it’s indoors or outdoors, work or play… I want to be on my feet and moving about.
When I was small, my feet carried me to safety.
When I grew and became a mother, walking was my escape from all the noise and business of things.
Now? Any physical form of exercise or activity I do, tends to fall under the old adage, an object in motion stays in motion… I know everyone’s heard of that reference!
I have always loved exercise and/or anything outdoors and adventurous. Unfortunately, this body can’t handle the truth, as Jack Nicholson so eloquently put it… kind a sorta!
Fortunately for me, walking has always been my first love, and it’s the only form of exercise that doesn’t seem to hurt so badly… so there’s that.
Here, have a cookie…

Sesame Street that is…
In the words of my favorite monster,

E is for Effort… that’s good enough for me!
Here, have a cookie…

Don’t be afraid! I’m not really a monster… honest!

Even though I don’t watch cartoons, nor have I for some years now, I will still attempt to answer the prompt this morning!

The only answers I have within my mental arsenal come from a good many seasons ago, so they look much different than they did back in the day.
Apparently, age has not been so kind to them…
Bugs Bunny was quite the athlete, what with all the popping in and out of all those rabbit holes…

But, it seems that time and too many carrots have done their work…

…
My only other favorite cartoons from the past were basically Disney productions, so they’re movies instead of cartoons, but this is my blog and I can do what I want!
Of all the classics to choose from, I will say that Robin Hood was, and still is, one of my all time favorite Cartoon‘s, if you will! Robin Hood was such a hero of the downtrodden, as well as, an adept tree swinger and lady charmer…

One can hardly recognize the fox he is today… what with Maid Marian running away with the Sherriff, some years after they moved away from Sherwood Forrest…

I have come to the determination that it’s better to keep my favorite cartoon character’s memory alive, rather than focusing on the harsh realities of most hero’s lives… after the cartoon is over!
Anyways, wanna cookie?

I could go on for days with the many stories of times I’ve made a right mess of things… but for now, I’ll just give a few tidbits.
For starters, I’m one of the worst Christmas light roller upper’s known to man… I’m better off leaving them on the house all year round, or tossing them in the bin!

I’m not one of the most patient people around and I’m notorious for making a mess of opening a package. I have a vivid memory of accidentally ripping a large bag of candy open and flinging it across the kitchen… the kids had a party cleaning that mess up!

Last but not least, there’s my habit of making a royal mess of a single bang trim. One tiny miscalculation… and my repeated attempts at correcting the error only end up making a bigger mess!

Yes, I realize that the prompt asked what I could do less of… and no, I’m not going to satisfy that question with an answer! Why?
Why would I want to do less of anything, when there is always something I could focus on doing more of?
I won’t write less, I won’t love less, no sense in trying less, or even living less. I live by faith not fear, so there goes doing less of the fear thing. I live by grace and forgiveness, so out the window goes less of self shame, guilt, and loving myself less. Sorry… I got nothin here!
I suppose I’m more of a do morer than a do lesser kind of girl!
And… I’m definitely a mess maker, too!
Here, have a cookie…

They’re messy, but Oh So Good!
