It’s never too late…

Well… nobody put a deadline or age limit, here. What’s a girl to do?

I thought about it and I thought about it, and then I came up with a somewhat usable list of possibilities:

A professional body builder, maybe…

Ewww, NO!

Perhaps, I could become an artsy Glass Blower…

Well, I could, ya know.

Hey, what about becoming a ball room dancer?

I love to dance! Mmmmm, better not! My ankles aren’t as strong as they once were.

You know, maybe I could go back to college and become a veterinarian, or something like that…

Nah! Homework stinks!

Now, it might be a hoot to learn how to build a house…

or even become a Marine Biologist…

But, the problem I’m having with most of these new skills is that they take more time and money than I got.

Besides, maybe I should focus on balancing a grandbaby and baking at the same time…

She’ll be here by Thanksgiving, I think. Now this is a skill I will thoroughly enjoy mastering!

Cookie?

You didn’t think I was going to make you eat the ones that fell on the floor, did you? I wouldn’t dare do a thing like that!

When I was small it felt like I was the color crayon queen, as I feverishly colored every single page of my color books! I consciously sought to use as many brightly colored crayons as I could muster, on each and every page. It was wonderful… as long as I stayed inside the lines!

When I homeschooled my daughters, I was given the renewed desire to draw and paint. It was like my early school days all over again! We had nearly everything that Crayola offered, as I felt it my motherly duty to provide full courses in every category of education, especially art. The bonus for me was that my daughters were so young, they thought I was amazing at whatever we did. Homeschooling them was like Disneyland for this girl!

With all that being said, I am simply awful at painting… I mean, we’re talking train wreck bad! While I aspire to have the talent of artists such as Picasso and the like… I’m more akin to Bob Rossi mixed with Will Farrell. No offense Bob… I’m just keeping it real.

Here, have a cookie with me…

Perhaps, we all might become inspired.

I am sitting in bed watching my husband single handedly replace the whole floor in our RV. He is also replacing the desk area so I have more of an office to work.

I want to help, but I would be more in the way than any help. Still, though, it hardly seems fair to just watch.

If it were possible, I would really like to know how to utilize household tools and such… to be more helpful.

It’s funny that he just happened to drop a new Samsung Tablet into the grocery food bag on the kitchen counter last week. This is the only way I can work right now, so I think he was planning ahead.

In a way, I guess I have learned a new skill… using this tiny lightweight wonder has been my schoolwork this last week. It’s pretty amazing, and I can even type on a little separate keyboard.

While it can’t handle all of my writing, it certainly works in a pinch for answering prompts, as well as navigating the reader with great ease.

As far as learning tools, maybe I will just let my husband handle the big stuff, and I will stick to the power of the pen!

As for the new floor, I will take pictures for you… it is so beautiful!
