A pen works fairly well…

How do you plan your goals?

Some people like to use a tablet, smart phone, or computer these days, when it comes to making plans, and such.

Personally, I just use a pen and paper… call me old school! Now, it’s not as easy as you might think, writing things out like I did when I was young. There’s far more pens, pencils, crayons, and paint brushes to pick from these days. Don’t get me started on the paper one might consider using to write down my goals. I would have then have to write out an explanation of the best paper products available… I’d have to plan a goal just to locate my favorite paper!

This simple planning question is fast becoming a journaling addict’s mountain to climb. There are forests filled with differing choices of pens, pencils and crayons, resembling a Doctor Seuss story! Red pens, blue pens, green eggs and ham pens…

If I can manage to find my favorite pen to write out my goals, we haven’t even made it to paper choices yet! Do we want loose paper, or paper in a pad… what about colors, textures, and paper thickness?

Just great! Now, not only am I out of good paper, but I’ve got a handful of pens that I can’t decide on. I haven’t even figured out what goal I wanted to plan for because I haven’t had my tea yet… stand down WordPress, stand down!

We Don’t Need No Stinking Plans…

How do you plan your goals?

I fly by the seat of my pants for the most part, if I’m being entirely honest!

Before the word Covid was born, we had a good number of goals… and plans!

We had our first real home… and it was nearly ready to be paid off!

My husband had a job for a well known trucking manufacturer, with benefits, savings, and retirement.

Not now…

At this time, most already know that we live in a small RV with no working toilet and no hot water… it’s been like this since last November.

My whole fly by the seat of my pants, in all of this, has enabled me to write my first full length Fantasy Fiction Novel… so there’s that!

Sometimes, there just aren’t enough plans, goals, emergency preparedness plans, perfect career choices, or dried up resources, that are never there when you need them!

One day at a time, sweet Jesus… one day at a time!

Here, have a cookie…

P.S. I have to show you this next picture, because I’m almost certain that my AI generator has stumbled across the lost records of the original designers of the U.S.S Enterprise… tell me I’m wrong…

Here’s how I roll…

How do you plan your goals?

If the big guy upstairs knows when I sit and when I rise, according to the good book, then at least I know where to go for directions. It also says, if I rise on the wings of the dawn, and settle on the far side of the sea, even there His hand will guide me… and hold me fast, even.

Everyone here should know by now that Psalm 139 is nearest and dearest to my heart. It brings me great comfort, as well as a great sense of courage for whatever I encounter in the world. If all the days ordained for me, were written in his book, before one of them came to be, like the bible says, then I believe it!

The bible is blanketed with God telling us, his children, that He is right here beside us, and if we seek Him, we can follow His plan, His goals.

If you ask how I plan my goals, I will tell you…

As the sun rises in the early morning and I awaken from my sleep, I say good morning Father.

I lay in the pillows for a time, usually He wakes me with a song I had been listening to the day before, but sometimes I hear His whispers of what the day may bring. You may think it odd, but I talk to God constantly, from the time I wake up until I drift off to sleep at night. It is somewhat like having a loved one with you, and no matter where you happen to be, you are never alone.

Anywho… there it is, my friends.

Yes, my husband and I have everyday goals and dreams, like everyone else, and we discuss and plan the best possible way to accomplish them, within our means. But let’s face it! The reality of our world, is a harsh pill to swallow for many today. I find it more realistic to stick with what I can do Today. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow will bring its own blessings and challenges.

As far as a goal goes, I have one… a walk, while the heat of the day is absent. I am off to enjoy the morning out of doors, as they say…

I promise you will love these smoothies, trust me. I make one every day and they are really yummy. I just cannot walk and eat cookies in the morning, it’s counter intuitive, I think.
