Waste…

Daily writing prompt
What bothers you and why?

Waste of time

Waste of life

Waste of love

Waste of might…

We were all born with gifts, but only get one lifetime to use them. No one knows of their own departure date, so when you see an opportunity to use your gifts, don’t waste it!

Give as much love as you can, even when it hurts! No, this doesn’t have anything to do with allowing yourself to be used, abused, or discarded. It means giving of yourself without expecting anything in return… just do it for the sake of love.

Make the best use of your time, your life, your love, and yes, your might! Be the best version of who you are and to the best of your ability, because no one knows what tomorrow will bring.

If God gives you a gift and you don’t waste it, He will always bless the work of your hands. Why? Because He knows you to be a good steward of that which He bestows upon you!

Think in terms of a cup that has a leak in the bottom… not a major hole, nor unrepairable tear, but tiny little cracks in the bottom. Over time, the water slowly escapes through those tiny fractures. Or, better yet, think of a flower pot that has a hole in the bottom. When the plant is watered, if the water just sits in the bottom of the pot, it will destroy the roots of the flower. Thus, the need for the hole. Simply water the flower often enough to keep the soil moist, while letting the extra water drain off, allowing the soil to remain healthy and fertile.

You know me, always writing about rushing water and broken pottery.

At least you know there’ll be cookies at the end!

It’s Only Monday…

Daily writing prompt
What bothers you and why?

Dirty cards, WordPress, dirty cards…

Everyone knows that you don’t ask about how bothered a person is… ON A MONDAY!

What bothers me is the fact that WordPress asked me an annoying question on a Monday, of all days!

Wisdom dictates that negative questioning should be done on Saturdays! Folks have slept off their Friday, and don’t have to grumble about the next week, at least until Sunday night.

Think, Daily Prompt, think!

Here, have a cookie…

Thank You WordPress…

What bothers you and why?

I know that the prompt wants me to purge my bothersome emotions, in a way that might make me feel better…

Thank you WordPress, for caring enough about my day to day life to ask me intimate questions, like a bestie…

I know that it might seem that you are a bit creepy, weird, or are in need of content. Though you might simply be attempting to come up with some nefarious plan to replace me with a robot, I will play along and think it’s because you like me to some degree.

Admit it, you know you like me! You always ask questions that a caring friend might ask… what are my fears, what I like, what I don’t like, and how I feel about so many different things. At first, I thought you were stalking me… taking my measurements for a skin suit, or something. But now, after today… I think you are so nice to ask such an intimate and personal question as I sit here in pj’s with my coffee still brewing…

Since you asked, I will admit that my morning started off with missing the garbage man… He looked right at me as he passed by, not making even one attempt to stop and give me a sec to get it to him… nope!

Oh yeah, and I smacked my forehead while holding the cupboard door open while retrieving the coffee to brew… the latch that holds it open is broken… has been for several months. I am still tired, I feel crabby cause my arm is killing me, I have no intention of walking in this ridiculously hot weather, nor do I plan on cooking, cleaning, or doing any constructive anything today… Waaah Haaaaaaa… Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…

BEEP…

Hang on…

Oh hi peeps… man, this coffee is sooooooo good!

Now… WordPress, this should teach you a lesson about asking such personal questions… BEFORE my first sip of coffee… shame on you.

Now, go look up bestie protocol so you do not do that again…

Here, have a cookie… and a cup of my fresh coffee… that’s how I roll…
