As I’ve still no working toilet, still have to walk two buildings down to carry hot water back to the RV for washing dishes, and will most likely be tossed off the property in the next two weeks, I’m not so sure this is sustainability, as much as survival. Neither one is fun right now, nor are either working for me that well… just sayin.
I’d suggest we go with someone else’s answer to the daily prompt, today.
Recycle, reuse, repurpose… we hear it all the time! Well, the lifestyle my husband and I have sustained ourselves, if you will, has been in ways that I have no desire to regale you with…
Unfortunately, what we don’t hear about all the time are more sobering truths about living sustainably!
When I walk up to a public water fountain, placed directly next to the concession stand at the local park, and the fountain provides no free water. You can go stand in line to buy one, well, that is the reality for most.
So, if I am to come up with suggestions for a more sustainable life, I am led to human nature, rather than a physical behavior.
I will practice giving to others in need, even if it hurts. Living a sustainable life requires people to have a sustainable attitude, and not just about themselves.
I am talking about looking for ways to reach out and give a soul a hand when they stumble, give the shirt off our backs so to speak. I say this because I really believe that if we are more aware of more than just ourselves all the time, the sustainability of our world would naturally flourish…
Fruit of the vine, people, fruit of the vine…
That was rough, I know, but take it up with whoever puts these prompts out there…
