If you won two free plane tickets, where would you go?

This prompt question feels like a trick one!

I am envisioning myself as a guest on the Oprah Winfrey show. We’re all given a big gift like a car, for instance, but none of us can pay the taxes owed on it!

Since the prompt only asked where I would go if I got the free tickets, I feel pretty ripped off, personally! It wouldn’t matter where the plane flew me for free, if I had no money for accommodations, meals and rental cars.

Regardless of where my plane landed, I’d be sleeping on the ground somewhere, eating food that either had to be scavenged, or killed with my bare hands.

With that in mind, this question seems frivolous and less than well thought out! I just don’t feel like wasting my time, that’s all… sorry, everyone.

His name is Ozzie Clawzee

because he looks like both Owl and Cat

I’ve placed him in my barn, you see

since that’s where all my babes are at…

He doesn’t want to live in the forest

as it’s far too wild in the wood

He prefers to live in the rafters

It seemed fitting that he should…

Tilly says he fits in here

like the rest of all our strays

When he sees anything that doesn’t belong

He hoots and howls til it runs away…

We put it to a vote this morning

and not a single babe said no

for today’s word prompt game…

WordPress wants to know my name

They asked me last year

And it’s still the same…

You can call me Wiwohka

if that name works for you

Even if it doesn’t

it will simply have to do…

I found it one night

while drinking some wine

It fit me just perfect

So I claimed it as mine…

The meaning of Wiwohka

is raging roaring

and rushing water…

I’m simply God’s daughter!

While I would like to suggest that I’m a plain Jane, when it comes to the activities that often fill my mind…

I think my thoughts are a bit more colorful than that!

Let’s just say that there’s a party going on in my head space, right now!

God is blessing me so richly, by walking me through this entire writing journey, directing my path every step of the way!

I spent way too long, looking at my circumstances as a struggle, when I should have been looking at them as my earthly assignment in the service of my Father!

I discovered that when I change my perspective on things, my mind overflows with all of the beauty and wonder that God reveals, each and every day!

I no longer sail the sea in a beat up old dingy, but a fine ship, navigated by an amazing Captain! Where our ship will go, only He knows, but I will faithfully sail with Him, to whatever end…

Don’t ask me how Eustace managed to get his neck through the bars of the cart… you’d have to ask the camel!

What are your future travel plans?

Honestly, I don’t have any travel plans on the table at the moment. In fact, I haven’t thought much further than a working toilet, or food in the cooler, ever since the shutdown.

Aside from the heaven that I know awaits me, I’m more focused on surviving than I am about fun in the sun on some beach.

Sure, I would like to travel and do all sorts of things, but I’m not putting any energy into daydreaming about things I don’t have, when I can be focusing on that which is being prepared for me, as we speak!

Heaven is where I’m bound, so my travel plans are full up!

Just sayin…

This morning, I found myself playing around with my AI art generator. I’ve been trying to come up with some new babies for the short stories I like to write.

First up, we have Beulah the baby badger!

Next stop is a little baby Beluga/Dolphin, named Bella Donna!

Then I fell in love with Olivia, the baby river otter!

Just when I thought I was finished, I threw one last idea at my AI tool…

I think that this last one has to be my favorite, by far, but I want your opinions first, before I fully decide what direction to go.

I’m not so sure that I’ve seen a baby so cute, for some time!

What would you change about modern society?

Right when I began reading today’s prompt question, our cheeky little neighbor came calling for his breakfast, so I snapped a quick picture of him.

It occurs to me that we should all take more time each day, intentionally slowing down, and appreciating all the little things… on purpose!

Modern society has become so dependent upon technology and moving ahead, we forget about the joy found in simple things, like feeding a wandering squirrel, just to watch him stuff his cheeks!
