Three Guesses…

Daily writing prompt
What’s your favorite month of the year? Why?

Use your heart, use your eyes,

Look for meaning between my lines,

If you know me then you know the answer,

If you have me figured out, go on and give it a gander.

Have a cookie while you think…

for into your brain, the answer might sink.

Barnyard Business..

I’d had a number of things planned to share with you this morning, but I just watched the babies fully launch Boomer into the pond!

While I’m glad that they took the initiative to have some fun together, I would prefer it if they didn’t drown one another, in the process.

Hugs

Oh, Maurgarite…

Oh Maurgarite, sweet Maurgarite

You’re such a tiny thing

Not many ever see you

But, you can surely sing…

Across the waves of air

Your sweet melody begins to flow

Making every part of your tiny body

Take on a beautiful glow…

Oh Maurgarite, sweet Maurgarite

You only appear in the night

Singing musical words of healing,

That come from a place beyond sight…

A true blessing you are,

Oh sweet Maurgarite

Your music heals sorrow from dreams…

With delicate tunes,

you grab hold of sad things

Then you turn them to stars, and moonbeams.

Monday Messages…

I basically copied and pasted last years Monday Message in here, this morning. Why? Because nobody participated last time… and it was a really good idea, that’s why!

I’m serious, guys and gals… come on, pretty please…for me? I think this could be really fun, and let’s face it, I think we all need something bright to focus on right now. Wouldn’t you agree?

So, here goes… when at first you don’t succeed, try try again (or so I’ve heard):

Well… November is well upon us, and I am setting the stage for our upcoming events. I mentioned before that I wanted to do a Virtual Holiday and I am bringing it up again. I am giving everyone until Thanksgiving to come up with a Christmas Wish List for themselves and put it in the comments anywhere on my site, that is, if you wish to participate.

Anyone wishing to participate can simply use their Christmas Day Post to reveal what they got peeps from those lists… your post is yours so you can present your gifts anyway you wish. It is virtual so the sky is the limit! I thought it would be so beautiful to have the Reader covered with gifts and sharing all across WordPress. Be there or Be SQUARE!

Monday Hugs to everybody!!!!!!

Restful Sunday…

I pray that God Bless each and everyone of you, as well as those with whom you love! May your day be filled with peace, rest and good fellowship!

Oh, and make sure to eat at least one thing that is both delicious and bad for you, all rolled into one!

I don’t often cheat…

But when I do, I only cheat with cookies!

Hippos Fart Through Their Mouths…

Daily writing prompt
What’s something you believe everyone should know.

Why is this so earth shatteringly important that I think it imperative to share with everyone?

Well, let me explain…

Just the other day I told someone something I’d heard in the past, regarding how hippo’s fart through their mouths. After thinking on it, I realized that I’d heard it from a movie with Val Kilmer, where he made that statement. I have actually never fact checked the information… and one should always do this before the retelling of a thing!

Here is what I found, everyone, and I was shocked, dismayed… and ran for my toothbrush:

According to Googleydoo,

Normal, harmless bacteria in the intestine break down food and produce gas. Any excess gas production or accumulation will cause the passing of gas to occur through the mouth or rectum. Therefore, your friend was partially correct, hippos do pass gas through their mouths. It is called “burping.”

If you haven’t seen it yet, I wish to bring your attention to the fact that, in reality… everyone does this with the gases that the body produces! Yeah, that is pretty horrifying when you think about all the times you felt safe burping around your guests, family and/or friends.

So, as I try to brush my teeth without throwing up, I want to warn everyone for the future of this world… watch where you’re pointing that thing, and cover your mouth…

Here, if your stomach can handle it, have a cookie…

Good Morning…

You’re welcome to pull up a chair if you wish to stay awhile…

I’ve left some things, just there, on the table…

Are you starting to feel all warm and fuzzy inside, yet?

No?

How about now?

Just in case it hasn’t fully soaked in yet…

Oh yeah! Now this is just lovely, isn’t it?!

Carry on…

Just Breath…

Daily writing prompt
What is your favorite form of physical exercise?

When I say Just Breath, it goes far beyond the act of just inhaling and exhaling! To truly let go of this world’s angst, and all the gnashing of teeth that wears at our peace… and Just Breath!

Be at peace with the knowledge that things of this world, can be observed, but shall not permeate one’s spirit while resting beneath the shadow of the Almighty!

To purposefully practice the form of physically exercising my lungs… choosing to breath out all the burdens of this world, and breath in the pure and sustaining peace that passeth all understanding…

His Peace… I take in the very breath of my Creator, My God!

I love purposely allowing God to be the very air that I breath…

Here is your cookie…

Thursday Thoughts…

The leaves are all falling

and Winter is a calling

Sweaters we’re now wearing

and there’s cocoa for sharing…

Also, sleepy and weepy

due to the air pressure shift

Requiring more power naps

and triple latte’s for a lift…

So as the winds change,

And the trees all fall asleep

Take care of yourselves

and don’t chew gum off the street!

Ok, don’t blame me for that last line… my coffee got cold, and I didn’t realize it until after taking a drink. I only paused from writing this for a second, I swear it!

Sometimes, I feel more like a dog than a person… Squirrel!!!

Oh well, that’s how poetry is for me, at times. I catch a thread of something and start writing it down, only to find that I’ve lost my train of thought somewhere in the middle. Yeesh! How do you guys and gals all do it? Day after day, you bring it with such creativeness and fervor… well, my hat’s off to you! I think that I shall leave the poetry to the poets and stick to what I do best, which is really just writing whatever the storms bring on the winds…
