Wow! I just got a strong sensation of sitting in a Doctor’s office. You’ll have to excuse me for today’s prompt, as my personal health history is not up for conversation.
Why would WordPress or the general public, for that matter, want to know about my personal medical history? The answer is beyond me!
While I probably have a good many habits, the one that stays with me wherever I go, is the need for coffee, tea or water.
I’m not a big fan of soda or juices, and I lost interest in alcoholic beverages a while ago, for the most part. For as much trail hiking and sweating that I put my body through, nearly every day, it didn’t make a great deal of sense to only drink diuretics and sugary berry water, all day long.
If you think I would choose alcohol over coffee, you’ve gone round the bend!
If you know me at all, you know that I love my coffee… ok… and cookies!
I’m pretty much sleeping with my laptop, of late, as this novel is nearing its conclusion. So many threads of thought and action that require stitching, in order to weave them securely into the story, is rather daunting. I didn’t say it’s not possible, just really, really challenging.
Circumstances at the moment have made it necessary for me to pull in the rugs and batten down the hatches, so to speak.
Aside from prayer and reading scripture, I’m putting any and all available effort into finishing this book. The bright side of things is that I can hold the title for writing an entire full length novel inside a tin can with no toilet… HOO RAH!!!!!!!!!
As I’ve still no working toilet, still have to walk two buildings down to carry hot water back to the RV for washing dishes, and will most likely be tossed off the property in the next two weeks, I’m not so sure this is sustainability, as much as survival. Neither one is fun right now, nor are either working for me that well… just sayin.
I’d suggest we go with someone else’s answer to the daily prompt, today.
Hands down, probably my favorite thing to have ever had the pleasure of tasting, would be cheesecake… more specifically, Mango and Key lime Cheesecake!
About ten years ago, we were invited to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory, where I had a wonderful Asian salad, followed by a large slice of the best cheesecake I’d ever before tasted. Unfortunately, my salad was so large that I didn’t have enough room in my stomach to finish the mouth watering dessert. Packaging my prize into a to-go box, we took it home with us.
When I awoke the next morning, the first thing I thought about was finishing my dessert with a fresh cup of coffee. Arriving in the kitchen, I went straight to the refrigerator, only to discover it missing; my cheesecake had been stolen!
There, sitting on the couch in the living room, was my husband, with the crumby evidence written all over his mustache… he’d eaten my prize!
Long story short, my hubby had to make a very long and expensive trip back to the Cheesecake Factory later that week. My guilt trip was done with such skill that I earned an entire Cheesecake out of my harrowing ordeal.
