Barnyard Business…

As I’m sure everyone remembers, last week’s article about Squagon was postponed, due to the outbreak of sniffles and coughs within the ranks. Rest assured, not only is everyone feeling better and back to their usual antics, but I have some wonderful news about our little furry flyer’s story.

While I was busy wiping noses and comforting my miserable little crew, I thought to send a message to Squagon’s parents, asking if they might answer some questions about him, for the article I wished to write about my young friend. Well, I received word late last night that I’ve been given an invitation to visit the royal families home… that’s House Acorn! Rarely is one offered the chance to exchange words with those of the ruling squirrel family in Acorn Valley! Oh, did I not tell you that Squagon is actually the third son of none other than Lord Rico and Lady Ophelia of House Acorn. Perhaps I’d forgotten to mention this before now.

Anyway, I hope you will allow me an additional week to write the article, as I wish to visit with his family to learn Squagon’s full story. You really need to know the whole story in it’s fullness, so that you might see what is so special about this tiny squirrel, who bears strange dragon like wings upon his back. Then you might understand why I love him so much, and why I couldn’t imagine this barn without him flying around in the rafters.

I’ve dressed in my most professional interviewers outfit, as well as filling all my pockets with peanuts, so I’m all set for success! Wish me Luck!
