I’ll be honest in saying that movies are more my thing, as far as binge watching anything over and over again. First of all I abhor commercials, so tv episodes usually only consist of about 18 minutes of show and 12 minutes of sales pitches on everything from toilet paper to cars! Secondly, I am not usually captivated enough by a television show, to watch it more than once… let alone more than 5 times.
That being said, I will confess that I’ve watched the Castle series more times than I wish to admit, but we purchased the series on DVD to alleviate all the bothersome commercials.
Now binge watching my favorite movies, on the other hand, is one of my guilty pleasures, as I am an avid insomniac with hours of nocturnal boredom. The list I’m about to give you, are my late night favorites, and the number of re-watches shall not be disclosed… but the number 5 is Childs play for this owl!
My ultimate go to, in the wee hours, is The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings… all of em!
Next up would be the Harry Potter series, but my most watched of that series has to be The Prisoner of Azkaban with Gary Oldman… great actor!
Then we have the entire series of Jurassic Park movies… the original will probably always be my favorite one, primarily due to them keeping it pretty close to the actual book.
Then there’s Tomb Raider… and Stargate… and of course, The entire line up of Pirates of the Caribbean, with Johnnie Depp. I absolutely love the entire cast of characters in each and every movie of this series.
If I were to list for you, every movie that I’ve watched too many times, we would be here til the cows come home, as they say. I will say this… we have a terabyte drive that holds over 600 movies and most of my favorites are on that drive, so there’s that…
Here, have a movie snack…

I used to hate commercials until thw first time I got satellite and then got to see the really bad commercials from other areas. Bad i mean as in really bad acting and such and so dry, no humor or anything. This was back in the 90s. Maybe the humor and decent acting, is only in my area or something but these were bad bad bad. Smh

I am English and around 1989/90 I saw some American TV for the first time in a friend’s house via satellite. I could not believe the infomercials – 20+ minutes of pushing some product. This was so crazy to us as our adverts were around 30 seconds max. We really did laugh, especially as it was beyond crap 😀

I dislike commercials too, and will go to great lengths to avoid them… like getting up and leaving the room. ^_^ Or turning off the TV forever. Ha!

Yes! I thought he was great in the Firefly series, which we have, as well as the Percy Jackson series where he does a cameo in one, playing the father of one of the kids and who runs a postal service… he is awfully funny in that bit.

You do love the epics don’t you! I don’t mind commercials (for some things) the first time, but some of these “free” apps play the same commercials over and over.

my brain energy is precious to me, so I don’t wish to waste time being stuck in some vortex of sales pitches… hehe

Movies, definitely Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (a young Sarah Jessica Parker in dance action) and for series – Malory Towers and Grange Hill, both British school adventures which are fab in their own different ways.

D’oH! I forgot to add LOTR to my list! We own the extended versions and watching them on Christmas afternoon has become a tradition. The unabridged version of Return of the King is 4.5 hours 😎
I too am a night owl… had to come to agreement with my wife… she wears a mask, I turn the volume down and put on subtitles… and it all shuts down at 1:30 am. Unless she’s snoring, then I take my chances, lol

I am a huge fan of nearly all of the main cast, especially Vigo Mortensen
