So, it’s Monday again and we’ve lots of things to do

I’m not starting anything til I make the coffee brew

Everyone’s busy and rushed, with jobs that are calling

We must get all those things done, without sniffling or bawling…

Get the kids off to school, gather packages for hauling

Get to work, pay the rent, tell those collectors to stop calling

Write reports, take some meetings, eat our lunch on the go

Make our way through a day that we know will go slow…

If we can get through this day, the rest of the week will follow

Keep a good attitude, and try hard not to wallow

Be strong if you can, because Fridays in four days

It’s this day we all go running toward, calling others out to play…

Don’t get discouraged after only days one and two

When you get to Hump day, you may be feeling blue

Grab your coffee, your RedBull, whatever one needs

To see you through Thursday, your energy it feeds…

When you finally see Friday peeking over the horizon

You’ll be proud of yourself, and maybe feel wizened

You made it through another week without choking your neighbor

And a peaceful weekend you will be able to savor!
