This seems completely unfair… I love both the Mountains and the Ocean the same, just for differing reasons.
I travel with anticipation toward the heights for all the sights and sounds…
I glide along the shore of the ocean, blissfully calm from the sense of silence it pushes towards my bare feet sinking in the wet sand..
If I stay too long upon the mountain, I feel as if I might explode from taking it all in…
If the waters of the ocean stopped pushing me ashore, I believe I would simply follow its pull into the depths never to return…
See…
Checks and Balances folks… there’s only one favorite anything that I claim and His name starts with J and ends with an S…
Everything else must simply take a seat at the back of the bus…
Here, have a cookie…

Seeking balance is a bit of wisdom that comes hard to many people. You have it right!
But I love Mount Desert Island because of the balance – the mountains go down to the sea both on one lovely island.

I like the analogy of mountains and seas as experts and the unfortunate respectively. The mountains give us answers while the seas gives us perspective.

I think I love the mountains the best, I love to go trailing with my dad, and it’s always so beautiful. It’s like when I’m outside in the woods, they bring me alive.

How can you choose!

Choices are generally false. We can, if we allow our hearts to guide us to be free, allow the universe to guide us to many places and people which provide us with far more choices than we ever imagine. Life is not one of binary choices. We make it so because we don’t want to contemplate the deep complexities of the vital topics following us today.

I agree. Depends on the mood, or the need to be where you need to be at the moment. 😊

Can’t I have both? I’m undecided between the mountain and the ocean. They’re both tranquil and peaceful.
